Lebanon's third NHDR explores current national issues and options offered to the country in the globalization context. The Report is intended to be contributing to the national debate on Lebanon's development and globalization strategy.
An innovation of the new Report is the calculation of the human development index at the local level. While past NHDRs have been presenting the HDI at the government level since 1994, this edition gives a comprehensive picture of human development in the country's 451 sub-administrative units.
