Pedro Manuel Moreno is an outreach and advocacy specialist for this office. Before joining UNDP, Pedro was a UN coordination and information officer in Ecuador and acted as special assistant to the resident coordinator. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as deputy secretary general of the Communication for Development Committee at the Spanish Commission for UNESCO in Madrid and at UNESCO headquarters. He obtained a pre-doctoral degree, cum laude, in communication sciences (majoring in international communication) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He also has a master’s degree, with honours, in political sociology and public policy from the Institut de Sciences Politiques in Paris and a master’s degree, with honours, in international cooperation and project management from the Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset in Madrid.
