Shreyasi Jha is a policy specialist with the Statistics Unit. She has extensive teaching and research experience in the fields of international development and quantitative methods. She has been on the faculty at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Pennsylvania and New York University. Shreyasi has worked on research projects with the World Bank in various sectors including program evaluation, environment, primary education and staff training. Prior to joining HDRO, she worked as an independent consultant with the Evaluation Office at UNDP in New York.
Jha holds a Ph.D. in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Masters in philosophy, politics, and economics from the University of Oxford where she was a Radhakrisnan Scholar, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai where she was a Government of India National Merit Scholar.
