Ginette Azcona is a research and writing consultant with the Research Team. Prior to joining UNDP in 2008, Ginette worked as a consultant for the World Bank researching inequality measures and inequity in health outcomes. Previous to this, Ginette worked at MDRC, a not-for-profit social policy research firm, using random assignment designs and other rigorous evaluation techniques to measure the impact of numerous pilot programs targeted at low-income families. A Dominican national, she holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
