General Human Development Report: Turkmenistan 1995

The Turkmenistan NHDR provides a broad view of the status of various national human development indicators, and of Government priorities and policies. Most importantly it demonstrates the Government's commitment to ensure that the human development paradigm is central to national policy. The Report's tables provide some valuable statistics on certain key human development indicators. Further work is expected on some of the data, analysis and policy prescriptions so as to strengthen the impact of the Government's policies and reforms on the overall state of human development in the country, and thus make future NHDRs more comprehensive and useful as prescriptive and policy tools.
