Sarantuya has extensive experience in managing poverty reduction, gender equality, women’s empowerment and human development programmes and projects. Before joining HDRO in March 2006, she worked for UNDP Mongolia as an Assistant Resident Representative (Operations) and National Programme Officer (1997-2006). She worked as a focal point for national human development reports for seven years. In addition to her experience with UNDP, she has worked with UNIFEM CIS on engendering of PRSPs and MDGs. Prior to joining UNDP Mongolia, she worked for the Mongolian Government, Ministry of Population Policy and Labour, as an Employment Planning Officer.
Sarantuya earned her BA and MA in urban planning from Moscow Management University and Master’s degree in public management from the State University of Mongolia.
