Sarantuya Mend has extensive experience in coordinating poverty reduction and gender equality projects and programs. Before joining this office in March 2006, she worked for UNDP Mongolia as National Programme Officer and then Operations Manager. She also worked as a focal point for national human development reports for seven years, including work on Mongolia’s national reports from 2000 to 2004. In addition to her experience with UNDP, she has worked with UNIFEM CIS on engendering PRSPs and the Millennium Development Goals. She also worked for the Mongolian Government at the Ministry of Population Policy and Labor.
She earned her BA in urban planning from Moscow Management University and a master’s degree in public management from Mongolian State University.
