HDR-Net: Human Development Reports Network

HDR Net (JPG)

Over the years, the global, regional, national and sub-national Human Development Reports have inspired a global movement to articulate human development priorities in every region and to mobilize action for policy-making. The HDR-Net, established in 1999, continues to strengthen this movement by serving as dynamic springboards for professional knowledge sharing and learning on human development issues. The network has evolved into a community of over 1000 human development professionals from within UNDP, government, academia, research and NGO communities.

Network members are encouraged to:

  • Share comparative experiences and "good practices" related to the HDR production process, quality of HDRs, and their subsequent impact in challenging existing policies;
  • Explore thematic issues from a human development perspective and arrive at collective positions on applying this framework; and
  • Share information on upcoming workshops, meetings, training, important publications and web-resources relevant to human development.

Consolidated Replies

Consolidated Replies (CRs) provide a comprehensive summary of responses to any given question, query or discussion that takes place on the network in a user friendly format designed to make key information available at a glance. CRs add value by distilling UNDP's collective experiences and knowledge, enriching them with external resources and perspectives, and making them available to our global community of practice members.
