Azerbaijan - Human Development and Sustainable Income Generation Public Union (UHDU)
Since 2004, this project is an
example of a successful multi-purpose activity focused on Human Development. This success is achieved by aligning the activities of the organization with those of corporate, local, national
and international development goals, including the MDGs. In there experience, human development and sustainable income generation projects are
types of interventions that reach the poor most directly, making them result

Human Development and Capability Association
The Human Development and Capability Association (HDCA) was launched on September 6, 2004. Amartya Sen is the first president and Martha Nussbaum is the president-elect. The HDCA promotes high quality research in the interconnected areas of human development and capability. It is concerned with research in these areas across a broad range of topics including the quality of life, poverty, justice, gender, development and environment inter alia. While primarily an academic body, the Association brings together those involved in academic work with practitioners who are involved in, or interested in, the application of research from the fields of human development and capability to the problems they face.
