Funding Recipients

The HDR Innovation Fund Selection Panel, made up of one representative from each regional bureau, one representative from BDP and two from HDRO, met on 12 May to select from among the 93 proposals that were submitted. With over 70% of UNDP Country Offices applying, and with a fantastic array of extremely innovative proposals, it was very difficult to make the selection. Many more than the 20 selected (see below) are very deserving of support, but the funding was finite. We hope that these excellent proposals can find other sources of funding. Given the overwhelming need for support, the NHDR Unit has begun working with BRSP to find funding for a second round of the Innovation Fund in the future.

2003 Innovation Fund members

The following table lists country offices benefiting from the innovation fund 2003. The table was a monitoring tool to manage timely submission of budgets, interim and final financial and substantive reports on the use of the funds. Interim reports were due in November 2003 and may 2004 respectively.
