The Swaziland scenario, as revealed in this report, depicts a situation in which economic growth has not translated into expanded job opportunities and seems to have benefited only a small percentage of the population. The theme “economic growth with equity” is meant to focus attention on the growing concerns over poverty and inequality and to reiterate the need for a multi-dimensional policy approach towards achieving equitable growth in the near future.
