In the final analysis, it is the impacts of the Human Development Reports that determine their success. Research of the United Nations Development Programme has identified many individual district, national and regional report teams that have adopted good practices and innovative approaches in communicating themes and related issues through HDRs and effectively carrying out advocacy and follow-up. The following are examples of initiatives of report teams that have been recognized for the value they have added to the development debate in individual countries and regions. The methods outlined may represent an inspiration for others involved in the HDR process.
