The Awards ceremony was held on 20 June 2007 at the Delegates Dining Room of the United Nations Secretariat in New York. Over 250 guests attended the event. Awardees received their prizes and posed for the cameras alongside the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, UNDP Administrator Kemal Dervis, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, with of course friends and colleagues of the Human Development Report Office.
