The challenge of HIV/AIDS: Maintaining the Momentum of success

The Report reviews twenty years of HIV/AIDS in Uganda, assessing the impact of the disease on the population in terms of the population structure, fertility and mortality and the effects on households, families, health, education, agriculture, the labor force, businesses, women and the economy. The Report describes how the HIV/AIDS epidemic been fought and attempt to identify why the Ugandan strategy has been so successful. The Report also look at the relationship between poverty and human development, using measures of human poverty and human development to assess the current situation. Finally, the Report explores the efforts the government of Uganda is making to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
