Description:
The course draws on the extensive intellectual resources of Oxford, as well as the practical experience of leading analysts from international development agencies. The aim of this course is to provide training on the theory and practical applications of the Human Development and Capability concepts. The course is designed to be an intensive learning experience for both practitioners within and outside of UNDP who have a long-standing interest and experience in development issues.
Method of instruction:
Lectures; Applied training sessions; Group-based activities; Seminars; Group assignments (policy case studies, preparation of a mock NHDR and thematic review of an NHDR, programming documents, etc.)
