1st Migration and Development Virtual Fair

M4D Website/Online
2-3 November 2009

The next Migration for Development Knowledge Fair will be an online event held on this website during the Civil Society Days at the 2009 Global Forum on Migration and Development, 2-3 November 2009.

1st Migration for Development Knowledge Fair
In 2008 over 250 people from around the world gathered in Brussels 1-4 December for a three-day ‘Knowledge Fair’ to share experiences about how they are making migration work for development. The event was hosted by the European Commission and the United Nations as part of a new initiative to connect diaspora groups with NGOs in their country of origin to work together for the development of their countries. The ‘Migration Celebration Film Festival’ was held each evening to welcome the participants to Belgium, and celebrate the contribution migrants have made around the world for centuries.

Visit the website to learn more and attend the Virtual Fair.
