The 2nd NHDR will analyse the impact of globalisation on the Jamaican economy and society, with particular reference to rural development, and is expected to contribute to and inform general discussion and policy decisions on the issue within the country. Three key elements of the project will be the constitution of a broad-based project advisory committee which will give national ownership to the report; the recruitment of consultants to prepare sections of the report; and the design and implementation of a post-publication advocacy, dissemination and public education strategy. The project will be a joint partnership between the Government of Jamaica and the United Nations Development Programme. Year: 2005 |
