The Human Development Index has been applied for the first time in Venezuela as a result of the fifth anniversary of the UN. Their results are an important information source for planning and for restructuring and modernization of state processes. This is the first report disaggregated by states and sex for Venezuela. It uses the concept and methodology from the global HDR of 1990. The objective of the report is to become a tool for discussion and a guide for political decision-making and state planning.
