Desarrollo Humano en Chile Rural

The subjects of the analysis include the implementation of public policies, the labour environment, and the construction of personal identities (e.g. adolescence and time-management for women). Using behavioural science methodology, the report is trying to identify a scheme linking social opportunities and capabilities. The report is relaying on opinion polls dealing with subjective perceptions of life’s opportunities and satisfaction in Chile, comparing the results of similar surveys from 1999 and 2008 to identify trends and analyse how Chile has changed in the last ten years. Other elements to measure the status of human development in the country include indicators regarding the performance of public institutions, the private sector and the daily life (such as domestic violence).
