Human Development Report Bosnia and Herzegovina 2000 Youth
While BiH remained at peace as the century was drawing to a close, the political and
economic situation was not improving. As a result, many Bosnians, particularly the younger
generation, have migrated or are seeking to do so in search of better livelihoods. The NHDR for
2000 focuses on the youth of BiH. That report delineated the problems facing Bosnia’s
youth and set out an agenda for action that has been endorsed by the Government and embraced
by many non-governmental organizations.
