Bolivia Human Development Report on Gender
Posted on: January 01, 2003
This report deals with gender and human development, and the ways in which a human
development approach can contribute to advancing women's rights and achieving
gender equity. This new perspective implies the development of gender policies to improve women's capacity of exercising their rights, increasing their freedom, participating actively in the collective processe of change.
The aim of the report is to increase gender balance and identify the main challenges of gender equity facing the country on the mid-term.
The Report is meant to be analytical and puts an emphasis on processes of public gender policies: how such policies could be implemented, and which outcomes they could lead to.
