Bridging Gender Gaps in Human Development

This case study presents a joint HDRO-UNDP and UAE Gender Balance Council analysis of the UAE’s progress in human development, gender equality, and women’s empowerment over the past three decades. Drawing on UNDP’s human development and gender indices alongside an assessment of policy and institutional reforms, the case study highlights key achievements, identifies remaining challenges, and offers insights for advancing inclusive and sustainable human development through gender-responsive policies.
