Register for the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index Report launch on 17 October

The upcoming Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) 2022 from UNDP's Human Development Report Office and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) provides valuable insights on how to tackle poverty by addressing its multiple dimensions and looking closely at the interlinked deprivations. 

The global launch event will be broadcasted live at 10 am EDT, October 17, from the SDG Studio in UN Headquarters in New York. 

The event will feature leading development experts including:

  • Aminata Touré, former Prime minister of Senegal 
  • Hala Helmy el-Said, Egyptian Minister of Planning & Economic Development
  • Sabina Alkire, Director of OPHI, University of Oxford
  • Luis Felipe López-Calva, Global Director for Poverty and Equity Global Practice, World Bank

International broadcast journalist Shakuntala Santhiran will moderate the event.
