Ten years of Independence and Transition

This report is dedicated to Armenia's ten years of independence and transition. The report concentrates on the political, economic and social developments of the past decade. In this context, the selection of good governance as the underlying theme of NHDR 2001 is very pertinent, given that ‘good governance is perhaps the single most important factor for eradicating poverty and promoting development’.
