abstract = {The Municipal Human Development Report 2010-2020 presents the panorama of the decade in human development in municipalities in Mexico. This Report, in addition to presenting the results of the Human Development Index (HDI) at the municipal level, presents for the first time in Mexico a methodological approach for the measurement of the Gender Inequality Index (GDI) at the municipal level. The GDI seeks to measure inequality between women and men through three components that characterize differences in opportunities: empowerment, labor market participation, and reproductive health.This Report seeks to become a benchmark for the generation of useful information to advance in the localization of development, since it is complemented by an overview of the advances in the functional capacities of municipal public administrations to influence the development of their communities, as well as with specific experiences about the challenges they face and the way in which they have managed to solve them. trying to turn challenges into opportunities to promote transformations that promote local development. In addition, the Report presents tools to strengthen the impact of municipal governments in Mexico through the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public intervention strategies to improve human development conditions from the municipal level with the intention of ensuring that progress is achieved in a comprehensive, universal, sustainable way and "leaving no one behind".}
